US President Donald Trump launched a sharp attack on Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday, accusing him of “conspiring against America” after Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un joined China’s grand military parade in Beijing.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump sarcastically extended greetings to Xi and the Chinese people while alleging collusion with Moscow and Pyongyang. “Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against the United States of America,” Trump wrote as the parade was underway.

The parade marked the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War II, a day China commemorates as its victory in the anti-Japanese war. Trump also questioned whether Xi would acknowledge the sacrifices made by American soldiers during World War II to aid China’s liberation.

Meanwhile, China showcased its military might, unveiling HQ-9C missiles and other advanced systems. Putin and Kim’s attendance underscored Beijing’s growing alignment with Russia and North Korea amid strained ties with the West.

In his address, Xi Jinping struck a dual tone—projecting China as “unstoppable” while pledging commitment to “peaceful development.” He emphasized that the country’s rejuvenation was inevitable and called on the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to build itself into a “world-class force” capable of safeguarding sovereignty and contributing to global peace.

“Humanity is once again faced with a choice of peace or war, dialogue or confrontation. China will stand firmly on the right side of history,” Xi declared, urging nations to eliminate causes of war and work toward shared security.

The parade and its high-profile attendance come at a time of escalating geopolitical tensions, with Trump’s remarks highlighting Washington’s unease over Beijing’s strengthening ties with Moscow and Pyongyang.
